Staying at Casa Ticul was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean but had some issues with darkness and smell. The location was convenient on the 5th avenue, close to the beach, but there were disruptions from noisy constructions nearby. The service was a bit inconsistent, with loud staff at the front desk but excellent breakfast service. The dining experience was great, especially with breakfast on the roof, offering plentiful and tasty meals. Overall, it was a decent stay with some highs and lows.
The hotel has a fantastic location right by the water and near some wonderful restaurants. The rooms are noisy and lack privacy due to their setup, plus they face a busy street, but they are acceptable overall. The service is warm and attentive but was marred by a strong bug spray odor at one point. The location is convenient and vibrant, close to amenities and attractions, yet lacks an elevator. The dining offers decent food but falls short in portion size. While the facilities are adequate, some noise and privacy issues affected the overall experience.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and I will definitely be returning again. However, there were some noise issues that affected my experience. The outdoor shower and hot tub were fantastic amenities, but the walls need a fresh coat of paint to address the mold issue.
